About us. The company, founded on September 30, 1946 by Pia and Paul Döbele, is rooted in a deep family tradition that continues to this day.
Originally founded as a corsetry company, it quickly made a name for itself with the innovative, strapless "Charmant-Corselet", which was listed as an essential product for basic care during the Berlin Blockade in 1948. Over time, the company's product portfolio changed significantly. In 1977, the company underwent a strategic realignment and from then on focused exclusively on swimwear. This decision marked the beginning of a new era. In 1982, the introduction of the "MARYAN" brand laid the foundation for further growth. The creation of additional labels contributed significantly to the company's upswing in the 80s and 90s and established it as a leading name in the world of swimwear.
Philosophy. Our philosophy is based on a commitment to excellence in design, development, quality and production. We specialize in the production of bikinis, swimsuits and summer fashion, with creativity and digital processes at the heart of our way of working. Precision and customer proximity are our central guiding principles, supported by a culture built on sustainable values.
Development. The design and development of our brands takes place entirely at our headquarters in southern Germany. This is where our atelier is located, where our accumulated knowledge of craftsmanship flows into the development of innovative products and collections. Each season, around 1,000 different styles are created, which ensure optimum appearance and comfort by producing around 5,000 fit samples every year.
Our collections take into account a variety of body shapes and sizes, which has earned us international recognition for our fit expertise.
